AtlasIED FAP42TC 4″ Shallow Mount Commercial In-Ceiling Speaker
The AtlasIED FAP42TC is a compact 4-inch shallow mount coaxial in-ceiling speaker designed for distributed commercial audio systems where high-quality sound and limited ceiling depth are key installation considerations.
With an overall depth of only 4 inches (102 mm), the FAP42TC is ideal for installations where space above the ceiling is restricted, including plenum spaces, shallow ceiling cavities, and retrofit projects. Despite its compact size, the speaker delivers clear speech intelligibility and balanced music reproduction, making it well suited for commercial paging and background music systems.
The FAP42TC incorporates many of the same performance features found in the popular AtlasIED FAP42T, including a high-performance 4″ polypropylene cone driver with a ¾” PEI tweeter and precision crossover network to provide smooth and consistent audio coverage.

Installer-Friendly Wiring and Mounting
The FAP42TC is designed to simplify installation for professional audio contractors.
A 4-pole detachable Phoenix-style connector allows easy pre-wiring and convenient daisy-chaining between multiple speakers in distributed audio systems.
The speaker also includes the AtlasIED C-Ring and V-Rail mounting system, enabling fast installation in drop tile ceilings and drywall construction. For new construction drywall installations, the optional FAP42-TR mounting ring can be used.
A protective input cover with ½” and ¾” knockouts provides flexibility when routing conduit or cable during installation.
High-Quality Coaxial Speaker Performance
The FAP42TC uses a coaxial driver design combining a 4″ polypropylene cone woofer and ¾” PEI tweeter, delivering balanced sound and wide coverage for commercial audio environments.
An integrated 70V/100V transformer with front-mounted tap selector switch allows installers to quickly adjust wattage settings or use the transformer bypass for 8-ohm direct operation when required.
