The AtlasIED FAP42TC-UL2043 is a compact 4-inch shallow mount coaxial in-ceiling speaker designed for distributed commercial audio systems installed in air-handling (true plenum) ceiling spaces. This model meets UL 2043 requirements, making it suitable for installations where plenum-rated audio equipment is required by building codes.

With an overall depth of only 4 inches (102 mm), the FAP42TC-UL2043 is ideal for installations where ceiling cavity space is limited while still delivering high-fidelity sound reproduction and wide, even coverage.

The speaker combines AtlasIED Strategy Series acoustic performance with a shallow enclosure design, making it well suited for both new construction and retrofit distributed audio systems.

A 4-pole detachable Phoenix-style connector allows easy pre-wiring and convenient daisy-chaining between multiple speakers in distributed audio systems.

A protective input cover with ½” and ¾” knockouts allows simple cable routing and conduit installation.

The speaker includes the AtlasIED C-Ring and V-Rail mounting system, allowing quick installation in drop tile ceilings and drywall construction. For new construction drywall installations, the optional FAP42-TR mounting ring may be used.

Flexible Distributed Audio System Integration

The FAP42TC-UL2043 includes a 70V/100V internal transformer with a front-mounted tap selector switch, allowing installers to easily adjust system wattage settings.

The selector switch also includes a transformer bypass option for 8-ohm direct operation, making the speaker compatible with both distributed and low-impedance audio systems.
