The AtlasIED FAP82T 8″ coaxial in-ceiling speaker is designed for commercial audio systems requiring higher output, controlled coverage, and excellent sound quality in higher ceiling environments. Featuring a 60-Watt 70V/100V transformer, tuned ported enclosure, and controlled 100° dispersion, the FAP82T delivers clear speech intelligibility and balanced music reproduction for professional distributed audio systems.

Ideal for retail stores, warehouses, transportation facilities, gymnasiums, large lobbies, and other spaces with elevated ceilings, the FAP82T provides tighter pattern control than wide-dispersion speakers. This helps maintain consistent sound levels across the coverage area while minimizing SPL drop-off and reducing comb filtering that can occur in high ceiling installations.

The speaker features a high-performance 8″ coaxial driver with a 38mm voice coil, a polypropylene cone with butyl rubber surround, and a 19mm PEI coaxially mounted tweeter. With an average sensitivity of 90 dB, the speaker can achieve desired sound pressure levels with less amplifier power.

A deep drawn galvanized steel ported enclosure improves low-frequency response while maintaining efficient acoustic performance. The integrated low-saturation 60-Watt 70.7V/100V transformer supports distributed audio systems while minimizing insertion loss. The front-mounted tap selector switch allows installers to adjust power taps without removing the speaker from the ceiling and includes an 8Ω bypass option for direct-coupled amplifier operation.

Installation flexibility is enhanced with a 4-pole detachable Phoenix-style connector for easy pre-wiring and daisy-chaining of additional speakers. The speaker includes a C-ring and V-rail tile bridge mounting system for secure installation in suspended ceilings.

The press-fit grille design blends seamlessly into modern architectural spaces, and the enclosure can also be pendant mounted using the included top-mounted eyebolt, making the FAP82T suitable for open-ceiling installations.
