The AtlasIED SD72W-KIT 8″ ceiling speaker kit provides a complete, ready-to-install solution for background music (BGM) and paging applications in commercial audio systems. Designed to simplify ordering and installation, this kit includes a matched set of AtlasIED components engineered to work seamlessly together for reliable performance in distributed audio systems.

The kit includes the SD72W 8″ dual cone ceiling speaker, 62-8 baffle, CS95-8 recessed back enclosure, and 81-8R T-Bar tile bridge, creating a complete in-ceiling loudspeaker assembly suitable for suspended ceiling installations.

The SD72W dual cone loudspeaker is the next generation of Atlas high-performance cone speakers, offering sonic characteristics similar to the trusted AtlasIED C-Series speakers used in many commercial sound systems. This design ensures predictable performance for contractors and designers familiar with AtlasIED ceiling speaker solutions.

The 8″ dual cone speaker features a curvilinear treated paper cone that reduces harmonic distortion and improves sound clarity. A 1″ diameter copper voice coil with a black anodized aluminum former enhances heat dissipation and long-term reliability. The speaker includes a factory-installed 25V/70.7V line-matching transformer with multiple tap selections ranging from 0.25 to 5 watts, allowing flexible system configuration in distributed audio installations.

The included CS95-8 recessed enclosure is constructed from durable one-piece CRS steel and features multiple conduit knockouts for flexible wiring options. The 81-8R tile bridge provides stable mounting support for suspended ceiling installations, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure installation.
