Engineered for life-safety and commercial audio applications, the SM42TEN-B features a 4″ polypropylene woofer and a 1″ ferrofluid-cooled high-frequency driver that deliver clear speech intelligibility and balanced music reproduction. The advanced AtlasIED TRX Control WaveGuide™ ensures smooth and even 90° x 90° sound coverage, providing consistent audio distribution whether the speaker is mounted vertically or horizontally.

The speaker includes an internally mounted 16-Watt 70V/100V line matching transformer with screwdriver-adjustable power taps and an 8Ω bypass for direct-coupled amplifier operation. This flexibility allows the SM42TEN-B to be integrated easily into distributed sound systems or low-impedance audio systems.

Constructed from UV-resistant PC/ABS injection-molded enclosures, polypropylene woofer cones, powder-coated aluminum grilles, and corrosion-resistant brass hardware, the SM42TEN-B is designed to withstand demanding environments while maintaining long-term reliability. The cabinet design also minimizes magnetic flux leakage, allowing installation near video displays when required.

Installation is simple and flexible using the included heavy-duty C-bracket, allowing vertical or horizontal wall mounting. Additional ¼”-20 threaded inserts provide compatibility with OMNIMOUNT™ brackets and other third-party mounting hardware.
