The Lowell ES-62T 6-1/2″ coaxial ceiling speaker delivers excellent speech intelligibility and full-range music performance for commercial distributed audio systems. Designed for paging, background music (BGM), and general signaling applications, this self-contained ceiling speaker system includes a 6.5″ coaxial driver, integrated multi-tap transformer, steel back-can enclosure, grille, and mounting hardware for a complete installation solution.

The 6.5″ coaxial loudspeaker features a high-frequency PEI tweeter with acoustic lens, providing crisp high-frequency response and balanced sound reproduction typically expected from high-quality coaxial speakers. Its wide dispersion pattern helps produce even sound coverage, which can reduce the number of speakers required in distributed audio systems.

The speaker includes a 32-Watt multi-tap transformer supporting 25V, 70V, and 100V distributed speaker systems, with selectable taps and a 4Ω transformer bypass position for low-impedance installations. Tap selection is conveniently accessible behind the grille.

The painted steel back-can enclosure is ported and tuned to enhance low-frequency response while providing proper acoustic loading for the driver. Mounting dogs allow secure installation in ceilings up to 2-1/8″ thick, including drywall, wood, tile, or suspended ceiling systems.

Installation is simplified with included C-ring mounting ring, support rails, and plastic paint shield, allowing fast installation in suspended ceilings. The press-fit grille with scrim provides a clean architectural appearance, and the included pull tool allows easy grille removal.
